Hello, I'm Emma!
I am a private midwife at Private Midwives and founder of Guided By You Midwifery. My journey into midwifery began with a truly positive birth experience during my third pregnancy. The care I received from one incredible midwife left a lasting impact and inspired me to pursue this path myself. At 46, as a single mother of four, I completed my midwifery degree with First-Class Honours and began a career that has become my life’s passion. Since qualifying in 2014, I’ve supported families across a wide range of settings — from high-risk hospital units to calm, empowering home births — always with compassion, respect, and the belief that care should be centred around you.

I’m confident, calm under pressure, and always led by evidence and empathy.
