First Time Mum Support

Becoming a mum for the first time can feel exciting, emotional and overwhelming all at once.

There can be so many questions during pregnancy, and it is completely normal to feel unsure about what to expect.

You may be thinking about:

  • what labour will be like

  • how to know when labour has started

  • whether your baby is growing well

  • what to pack in your hospital bag

  • feeding your baby

  • how life may change after birth

  • whether you are doing everything right

There is a huge amount of information available online, and sometimes that can make things feel even more overwhelming.

Many first-time mums tell me they feel worried about getting things wrong or not knowing enough. The truth is that there is no such thing as a perfect pregnancy or perfect parent.

Having support from someone you know and trust can make a big difference.

As an independent midwife, I offer one-to-one care, longer appointments and continuity throughout pregnancy, birth and beyond.

This means you have time to ask questions, talk through worries and feel reassured without feeling rushed.

I can support you with:

  • preparing for labour and birth

  • understanding your options

  • writing a birth plan

  • emotional wellbeing during pregnancy

  • confidence as a new parent

  • postnatal recovery and emotional wellbeing

  • feeding support

My role is to help you feel informed, confident and supported as you prepare for motherhood.

If you are a first-time mum and would like extra support during pregnancy, birth or after your baby arrives, you are very welcome to get in touch, arrange a discovery call or read my Google reviews to hear from families I have supported.
